Mountain Dew Biscuits

2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold
1/2 cup Mountain Dew soda
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, add the self-rising flour and granulated sugar. Mix them together.

Grate the cold unsalted butter into the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Pour in the Mountain Dew soda and stir until the mixture comes together to form a soft dough.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it’s smooth.

Roll or pat the dough to a 1/2-inch thickness.

Use a biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits from the dough. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Serve the Mountain Dew Biscuits warm.

Enjoy your homemade Mountain Dew Biscuits!
